Spaceballs 2 - The Teaser Poster

Spaceballs 2 - The Search for More Money

We normally don't blog about things we see on our way to work, but when you witness over 30 "Spaceballs 2 - The Search For More Money" Teaser Posters hanging on the walls in a lower Manhattan subway station, you better blog about it!

Fans of Mel Brooks have long clamored for a sequel to this classic comedy, and it looks like the fans will get what they want. As much as we love the idea of this highly anticipated movie, its unlikely that this sequel could live up to its predecessor. With the recent release and success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, how could Mel and MGM Studios not return to the franchise in search for more money.

Hopefully Mel Brooks got the original cast to come back. At the very least to pass the torch. It certainly would be awesome to see Dark Helmet, Lone Star and Yogurt again.

As for Spaceballs 2 The Teaser Poster, the destroyed Dark Helmet ... helmet... in a similar style to Darth Vader’s melted helmet could mean that we will not see the Dark Helmet we know and love. Maybe they couldn't get Rick Moranis to come back. Please say this is not true! The poster does boast an even greater helmet though. Maybe this just means Rick Moranis gets a bigger head.

We can only wait and see.

Moranis has said he is not interested, and at least 2 of the cast of the original are deceased.
