Can I place a Less Than Minimum order?



The minimum order for a product is the smallest quantity shown in the product's price chart.  Many items are available in less than minimum quantities (usually 1/2 of the smallest quantity) for an additional charge.  Please contact our Customer Service Department for assistance.  A Customer Service Representative will provide you with a complete price quote for your approval prior to processing your order. Can I get a Sample before I order?


We understand the importance of selecting the right product for your event or promotion.  To help you make a decision, we can provide you with a blank sample or a sample with a random imprint.

Requests for samples should be sent to us via email at staff@minespress.com or faxed to us at 914-788-1698.

Please include the following information:
•  The item number, description, color and quantity of the items (3 maximum) that you are requesting.
•  Your billing and shipping address.
•  Your name, email address, phone and fax number.
•  Your credit card information.
•  The date that the sample is required.
•  Your shipping account number (i.e. UPS shipper number) if available.

All samples and shipping charges must be paid for at the time of the sample request.  There is a $50.00 limit per sample request.  If you request a sample and subsequently order that item, we will credit your order for the cost of the sample, excluding the shipping charges.

Are Rush Orders available?


Is your special event or promotion right around the corner?  Many of our suppliers offer rush service options ranging from 5, 3, 2 or even 1-day working time rush production at an additional charge. If you have an "in hand" date, please contact our Customer Service Department prior to placing your order.  A Customer Service Representative will advise you if we can meet your delivery deadline and give you a price quotation. (Note: production cannot begin until we have the artwork needed for your imprint.  Production time does not include time required for proof approval if a proof is requested.)

We can also offer you expedited shipping.  Since all orders are usually shipped via UPS Ground Service, you may want to consider having us ship your order by UPS Next Day Air Early AM Delivery, UPS Next Day Air, UPS Second Day Air or UPS 3 Day Select.  Ask a Customer Service Representative for details prior to placing your order. What are your Standard Ink Colors?


Every promotional product supplier has a different set of "standard" ink colors that they use for imprinting their products.  (See "What are PMS Ink Colors", below.)  You can choose any of these colors for your imprint at no additional charge.  If you require a non-standard ink color, there is usually an additional charge for each non-standard ink color that you select. Ask a Customer Service Representative for details prior to placing your order. (Top)

What are PMS Ink Colors?


PMS (Pantone Matching System®) is the standard color matching system used by printers to specify a particular ink color.  Every ink color has its own individual PMS number.  For example, if you specify PMS 186 Red, we will know exactly what shade of red you want.  Please tell us the PMS number of each ink color that you are requesting on your product. What are your Artwork Requirements?


In order to provide you with the best looking imprint, it is important that you provide us with the highest quality artwork possible.

Camera-ready artwork is text and line art printed in black and white that can be used without being retouched or cleaned up by our Art Department.  Artwork should be sharp and clear without any jagged edges.  For multi-color artwork, please supply color-separated artwork as well as a composite print.  Please provide the PMS number of each ink color used.  Laser printed artwork should be printed (not photocopied) at 200% of actual size at 300 dpi (dots per inch).

Photocopies, faxes, newspaper ads, "raised print" or inkjet printed samples are not acceptable as camera-ready artwork.

We can use artwork created using the following programs:  Adobe Acrobat, Freehand, InDesign, Illustrator, Pagemaker, PhotoShop and Quark.

All digital artwork must be supplied as vector art or high resolution (300 dpi or higher) for proper reproduction.  Artwork may be provided as application files, .eps files, .tiff files, .jpg files or "print optimized" PDF files.  Please include all screen and printer fonts used as well as any .eps or .tiff images. If you submit .eps or .ai files, please convert all fonts to paths.

Low resolution website images (.jpg files, .gif files, etc.) or files created with Microsoft Word, Publisher, WordPerfect, Corel Draw or PowerPoint cannot be used as digital artwork.

Your art files can be uploaded directly from our website or you may email them to artmp@minespress.com.
To ensure that your files do not become corrupted while being emailed, please compress them using WinZip (PC) or Stuffit (Mac). Emailed files must include your company name in the subject line and have the fonts and PMS color(s) used listed in the message area.  A copy of your artwork should be mailed or faxed to us in order for us to verify your artwork's appearance.

Can I use Copyrighted Materials?


You (the customer) are solely responsible for obtaining the rights to use any logo, trademark, service mark, name, slogan, illustration, photo, statement or any other intellectual property on the products that you (the customer) purchase.  The Mines Press (a.k.a. www.mppromoproducts.com) shall not be held liable for the unauthorized use of any copyrighted materials printed on any item ordered by you (the customer).  The customer agrees to hold The Mines Press (a.k.a. www.mppromoproducts.com) harmless from any claims, suits or actions alleging that the products purchased by the customer violate or infringe on any rights of any third party. You (the customer) further agree to defend and indemnify The Mines Press (a.k.a. www.mppromoproducts.com) from any such claims, suits or actions.  (Top)

Can I get a Proof of my order?


A proof of your order will not be sent unless requested at the time your order is placed.  An email proof of your imprint can be sent to you prior to production at no additional charge.  A black and white proof can be faxed to you for an additional charge of $5.00 per proof.  If a proof is requested, production time does not start until we receive your proof approval. What are Overruns & Underruns?


While we try to ship exactly the quantity that you have ordered, the final quantity on some orders depends upon the method of production.  The industry standard on quantities shipped is + 10% although most overruns or underruns do not exceed 5%.  Your invoice will reflect the actual quantity produced. What are Set-Up Charges?


Most products require a set-up charge for each imprint color in addition to the actual cost of the item that you are ordering. Although set-up charges are usually one-time charges per product per imprint, repeat orders for some products may also incur reduced set-up charges. There may also be an additional running charge per color per piece on orders with multi-color imprints. (Top)

What is your Cancellation Policy?


We understand that sometimes circumstances may force you to cancel your order and we will make every effort to accommodate you whenever possible.  It is your responsibility to be aware of the production time required for your order.  Be aware that by placing an order, you authorize all of the charges needed to produce and ship your order.  When canceling your order, you may incur some or all of these charges depending upon the production stage of your order. What is your Returns Policy?


At mppromoproducts.com, we guarantee your Total Satisfaction. If there is a problem with your order that is due to an error on our part, we will replace your order, issue you credit for the order or refund your payment.
In the event of a problem, please contact us within 7 days of receipt of your order by email or by calling us at 1-800-447-6788.  A Return Authorization must be obtained for all returned merchandise.  UNAUTHORIZED RETURNS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.  An unauthorized return will void any refund or credit toward your order.
